I almost always sleep in heatless curls, which mostly solves the problem of having to spend a lot of time styling my hair otherwise. However! My bangs and the shorter pieces around them can’t really be managed with this overnight curling method, so I wanted a smaller, portable, and easy-to-use tool for that area. I chose the TYMO – Hair Style – CALMGO to perfect my bangs and shorter strands, and to have something on hand in case my hair “falls flat” during the day when I still need to look put together. I’ve been looking for a tool like this since forever because I always see people on rednote using this parentheses shaped flat iron for adding volume to their roots.Just grab a piece of hair and put the flat iron in the way such that the part that bulges out is under the hairpiece and you just straighten it back-and-forth a couple of times it creates the most natural curved volume for the roots. Much more natural looking than those jagged straighteners, which creates unnatural creases in the hair. Just do it for a couple of layers more than just the top layer for even more volume. Very convenient since it is wireless as well.
This mini flat iron is perfect for traveling. It is small and light weight. Also, I love that it is cordless. Charging takes a little while. It lasts around 30 minutes, before needing another charge. Does not get super hot, but too high is bad for my hair anyway. Takes a couple passes each section to straighten my curly hair.
Very good performance. The body of the iron is slightly heavy-though this is not a deal breaker. I like the advantage of curling my hair without the cord. The charger is amazing. It gets to a full charge quickly.
