PROS: It locks in the closed position.Its compact size is perfect for travel.Feels and looks to be of good quality.It’s cordless and very easy to use.CONS:A full charge only lasts about 30 minutes.The highest heat setting is 395 degrees.It takes a long time to charge to full.If this flat iron had a higher heat setting and would hold a charge for at least 45 minutes, I would be sold! I have a short, angled bob haircut and very thick Latina hair. I always divide my hair into three vertical sections, the back, left and right. The iron did not get hot enough for me to do one pass per piece. It took longer than my regular flat iron due to the “low” heat. I have a titanium flat iron I use on either 401 or 410 degrees. 410 when I have washed, dry hair and 401 on the second or third day without washing my hair. The ceramic plates on this Tymo did not feel as hot as my titanium flat iron. It displays 395 degrees but feels more like 350-365 degrees. So, more passes per piece were required, which took longer. This flat iron is better suited for someone with thinner hair than mine.The concept and quality are great for the right person. Just not for me. Sadly, I will be returning this Tymo. I already own a Tymo hot brush and it has worked great for the last 4 years! But that hot brush is better suited for when I grow my hair out long. I needed something with 1/2 inch plates to be able to get close to my roots. If you’re on the fence about this Tymo, give it a try! I still recommend it.

On the go is absolutely awesome! My hair is semi thick and it works for touch ups. It gets pretty hot. I have bangs that I have to constantly fix. Easy to use and straightens hair on the go! 🥰

I’ve been looking for a tool like this since forever because I always see people on rednote using this parentheses shaped flat iron for adding volume to their roots.Just grab a piece of hair and put the flat iron in the way such that the part that bulges out is under the hairpiece and you just straighten it back-and-forth a couple of times it creates the most natural curved volume for the roots. Much more natural looking than those jagged straighteners, which creates unnatural creases in the hair. Just do it for a couple of layers more than just the top layer for even more volume. Very convenient since it is wireless as well.

What I like about this. It's a straightener, but it's curved also, so I can put a slight curl on the bottom of my hair if I choose (and I do). Now, if I'm going to curl my hair I wouldn't use this, but it did work for my ends, and also for my bangs. The hot iron part doesn't go all the way to the side edges so I don't need to use that silicone heat mat and I didn't burn my face. It was pretty neat when I powered it on and the digital temperature just appeared on the silver part of the handle. When I first opened it it was partially powered. There is a gauge to tell you the battery life which is awesome! At that time it was only 1/3, so it didn't last very long. Plugged it in and too about 2 hours two hours to fully charge. Once fully powered, I set it at the lowest setting of 320 degrees and just let it sit. It kept it's power for 1.25 to 1.5 hours. I have that range in there only because it had turned itself off at one point (which is a nice safety setting) and I didn't notice it right away before I powered it back on. Only one thing I don't like. It is not operable while charging. That would be a great improvement on this.

Love these hair stylers. I have short hair and use them to create curls and waves. They take a couple of hours to fully charge, but that charge will last for 3-4 uses. Easy to use, particularly as they don't have a wire to get in the way, and great for travelling as well as every day use. The display is very clear and it's easy to see how much charge is left. They heat up very quickly and seem to cool quickly too, once switched off, making it easy to pack them away when travelling.
